Reversible Retro Dress

Irresistably cute is this Reversible Jumper with round retro collar. Very versatile, two beautiful dresses in one and could be worn on its own or over jeans. One side comes with a huge pocket while the other side retro belt details. Pattern by famed fabric designer Sandi Henderson. Here's my one-year old princess donning side B on New Years Day 2010.
And side A on a sunny day in Feb 2010. Oh how she has grown. The next time she should be wearing this dress as a top with jeans:) That's how versatile it is.

Designer Fabric (Side B) :
1) Sandi Henderson's Farmers Market Dahlia
2) Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossom Bouquet Toss in Blush
3) Sandi Henderson's Ginger Blossom Vintage Dots Breeze
This was such a fun dress to make that I couldn't stop at one! Here're more photos of variations made and I will update the list where possible.

Ruffle Blouse
Vintage patterns I saw are filled with ruffle sleeves. So retro, so simple and yet, so now. I couldn't resist making this easy to wear ruffle blouse. Comes with two side pockets.
This piece is made of the same designer fabric as the Yo-yo dress below. Perfect for mum and baby to stroll in the park or for that perfect studio picture!

Echino Scooter Playpants
I am in love with the designer fabric by echino and couldn't resist making my son a playset with the scooter fabric in two different colour prints. While I'm still working on the top, my son has already started wearing the scooter playpants with the elephant t-shirt I made him. Such a sweet boy!

Vintage Vroom!
Boys will be boys!
My son loves all modes of transportation especially cars, trucks and trains. As he adored the elephant top (below) I made, I've been motivated to sew him more clothings. My latest creation is this vintage car outfit. I drew the sewing pattern myself and found this really cute vintage car designer fabric at Spotlight which was on sale for $8 per metre. I used a contrasting fabric for the trimmings and cute little pocket. 3D cars were then sewn on a white tee for the top. Can't wait to see him in it!
